During the group’s initial meeting, members agreed to cruise through the stack of potential applicants and put aside candidates they view as contenders. The committee members will compare notes from that process at this next meeting.
More than 60 individuals applied for the administrator position. Escambia Human Resource Director Tom Turner has deemed more than 40 as qualified for the job.
The selection committee is comprised of five men, each chosen by an individual county commissioner. The group has been tasked with advising the Escambia County Commission.
Monday’s meeting begins at 1:30 p.m., at the county’s central office complex, located at 3363 W. Park Place.
