National Economic Development Week, May 7-12

FloridaWest EDA is joining organizations nationwide to increase awareness of jobs and career development programs that enhance local economic impact.

Economic developers are charged with generating economic growth, creating better jobs for residents and facilitating an improved quality of life. The industry remains as complex, challenging and rewarding as ever. The economic development efforts provided by economic developers are being showcased this week nationally.

FloridaWest Economic Development Alliance is an alliance of public and private agencies, businesses, organizations and leaders united as one and dedicated to building, growing and sustaining the economic potential and prosperity of communities, businesses and individuals in our Northwest Florida region. FloridaWest EDA works to connect the assets, resources and skilled workforce of the Greater Pensacola region with business and industry to build a thriving professional community for ongoing economic growth and prosperity of the region.

National Economic Development Week was created and is coordinated by The International Economic Development Council, the largest professional membership organization for economic developers. It is being held during the week of the organization’s 92nd anniversary as the largest professional membership organization for economic developers.
