National Senior Games sponsored by Humana [podcast]

Nearly 12,000 inspirational senior athletes have come together this year in Fort Lauderdale for the National Senior Games sponsored by Humana. Since 2013, Humana has honored 60+ athletes as Humana Game Changers − individuals who exemplify healthy aging and provide encouragement, motivation and inspiration for all seniors to pursue healthy lifestyles, no matter their age.

Among the Humana Game Changers recognized during the ’22 Games was Alan Grofe of Lakeland, Fla. Alan, a 77-years-young grandfather, Vietnam War Veteran and prostate cancer survivor, competed in the 5K Road Race on May 12.

Grofe and Theresa Andrews, a former two-time gold medalist in Olympic swimming and an Associate Vice President for Humana’s Neighborhood Centers, discuss this year’s games.
