National Travel & Tourism Week 2018

Hospitality Olympics: Monday, May 7, 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Visit Pensacola will officially kick off the week with its third annual Hospitality Olympics. Set to take place from 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow at Blue Wahoo’s Stadium, all tourism industry businesses and organizations are invited to form teams to compete. The Hospitality Olympics is a time for industry personnel to come together in a fun environment to celebrate the industry and get to know one another better.

Hospitality & Tourism Week Summit 2018: Tuesday, May 8, 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Skopelos at New World, 600 S Palafox Street, Pensacola, Fla. 32502
Visit Pensacola is excited to host the inaugural Hospitality & Tourism Week Summit 2018, a half-day educational summit focused on the ins and outs of the tourism industry. This jam-packed morning will include presentations from Quint Studer, Jeff Shusterman and Sarah Peter. Studer will speak on creating vibrant communities, Shusterman will give a full update on 2017 tourism numbers and visitor perceptions and Peter will focus on the adventure traveler. The summit is free of charge and open to the public.

Hospitality Hero Award Ceremony & Luncheon: Wednesday, May 9, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
The Pensacola Grand Hotel, 200 E Gregory Street, Pensacola, Fla. 32501
Visit Pensacola is excited to open nominations for the Hospitality Hero Program. At the forefront of the industry, front-line employees are the driving force between guests and their experiences. Visit Pensacola along with the industry and community will honor the winners at the annual Hospitality Hero Award Ceremony & Luncheon.

Tourism Gives Back: Thursday, May 10, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Holiday Inn Resort Pensacola Beach, 14 Via De Luna Drive, Pensacola, Fla. 32561
For the first time, Visit Pensacola will host Tourism Gives Back, a day for the industry to come together to contribute to the community that we know and love. In partnership with Clean the World, we will assemble and distribute hygiene kits to Loaves and Fishes. Clean the World leads a Global Hygiene Revolution to distribute recycled soap and hygiene products from more than 5,000+ hotel and resort partners.

Rally for Tourism: Friday, May 11:10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Travel Rally Day will take to the streets this year. Join Visit Pensacola to spotlight the positive impact tourism has on the Pensacola Bay Area.
