Navarre Beach Pier booms — over 320 people/day

Press Release: Over 117,600 people are estimated to have visited the Navarre Beach Pier in its first year of operations. Pier managers, The Pier, Inc., report 28,743 fishing and 88,755 walking admissions were paid from June 7, 2010 through May 31. In addition, 117 fishing passes and 55 walking passes were sold.

Navarre Beach Pier located at 8579 Gulf Boulevard, opened on June 5, 2010 after hurricanes Ivan and Dennis destroyed the previous pier in 2004 and 2005. At 1,545 feet long, the new pier is the longest in the State of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. Admission for those fishing is $7 for adults, $4 for youth, $6 for seniors and military, free for disabled veterans, and $1 for walkers. Annual passes are also available. The summer hours of operation are 5 a.m. – 10 p.m., seven days a week.
