Navy Federal Credit Union announced today it has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work for Millennials” by The Center for Generational Kinetics, a global leader in researching and understanding Millennials. The list, which comes on the heels of news that Millennials have surpassed Gen Xers as the largest workforce in America1, is the first of its kind to identify companies that excel at recruiting, developing and retaining top performers. Navy Federal ranked first in the list’s Large Employer category.

“We’re proud to be recognized with this honor,” said Tisa Head, Navy Federal’s executive vice president of human resources. “Thirty eight percent of our members are Millennials—many of which are active duty military. It’s important to have a workforce that can relate to our members while serving their unique needs.”

Navy Federal was selected for this list because of its commitment to investing in its Millennial employees, who account for 44 percent of its workforce. The credit union offers competitive benefits, a lively work culture and a wide variety of training opportunities to help employees develop their skills. “A place to start, a place to grow” is Navy Federal’s recruitment slogan, and is especially appealing to Millennials looking to advance their careers.

To find the best places to work for Millennials, The Center for Generational Kinetics partnered with the workplace excellence research firm Best Companies Group, who manages over 50 “Best Places to Work” programs around the globe. BCG analyzed data from the over 4,000 US organizations that participated in BCG’s various programs.
