NC schools cut ties to Newpoint Education Partners

Two North Carolina charter schools seeking approval to open in 2016 have dropped Newpoint Education Partners (NEP) as their management company.

Pine Springs Preparatory Academy and Cape Fear Preparatory Academy had their charter applications sent back to the state’s Charter School Advisory Board for further review after the State Board of Education became concerned over a state attorney’s investigation into NEP’s Escambia County schools.
