We are getting several emails regarding a dollar store (not sure which brand – Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree or just Dollar Dollar) being allowed by the city of Pensacola to be built on the corner of Summit Boulevard and Spanish Trail.
The city planning board on Monday did approve a zoning change for East Hill Baptist Church, the current property owner, that changed the zoning from Medium Density Residential to Commercial. See SummitGeneral.
City residents in the area are upset and have launched a Facebook page: No to Dollar General.
