New Downtown Wine Festival Coming

PENSACOLA WINE FESTIVAL PLANS TO BE ANNOUNCED
Construction-site Press Conference to debut Pensacola’s newest event

Pensacola, Florida – Plans for a new special event have been built by the combined efforts of the unique fine dining restaurants and wine merchants located in Downtown Pensacola. These plans will be announced Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. on the future site of the new event – Plaza de Luna (900 block of S. Palafox Street). Envisioned as an event for the senses, and featuring the fine wines available through local wine merchants and restaurants, over 100 different wines and over a dozen different vineyards will be highlighted during the inaugural event Saturday, April 14, 2007.

Located in the new Plaza de Luna at the southern-most end of Palafox Street, the event will be one of the first public events to use the community’s newest park and utilize one of Pensacola’s greatest qualities, the view of Pensacola Bay. Additionally, it allows the local providers of fine wines to showcase the variety of their offerings. Tickets to the event will go on sale this week through the event web site, www.pensacolawinefestival.com or from eat!, Global Grill, Jackson’s, Distinctive Kitchens or Artesana. Additionally, tickets to the event will be on sale during Gallery Night this coming Friday evening.

This locally planned event is certain to become one of Pensacola’s signature events, and offers our local businesses the opportunity to showcase their unique merchandise, culinary talents and Downtown’s spectacular views. Join the Downtown merchants Tuesday afternoon as they roll back the fences and step onto the dirt that will showcase the newest in a long-line of high quality events in Pensacola.
