MarketWatch reports that Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. has announced that J.C. Lowe, who was Sinclair’s General Manager in Birmingham, will become the General Manager of WEAR (ABC) and WFGX (MyNet) in Pensacola.
In making the announcement, Steve Marks, Co-Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair’s television group, said, “I look forward to J.C. overseeing our stations in Pensacola. He has done a terrific job in Birmingham, and we are confident that he can continue our leadership position in Pensacola.”
“I am excited for the opportunity to work with the teams at WEAR and WFGX and to become a part of the Pensacola community,” commented Mr. Lowe. “This is an important market for the Company with a meaningful local news presence, and I look forward to achieving higher results.”
