New Palafox Update: What’s New. What’s Closed

Adrianne Walker, the city’s strategic initiatives project officer, has sent to downtown businesses this update on the New Palafox Project:

Items to note—

Gallery Night is THIS FRIDAY (upcoming dates – 3/20, 4/17, 5/15) and involves road closures in which parked vehicles must be moved by 3 p.m. Signage is placed between 8 – 9 a.m. the day of the event. Vehicles must be moved by 3 p.m. to avoid a ticket.

West sidewalk along Plaza Ferdinand will be closed for roughly 6 weeks – pedestrians will be routed through the park or across the street.

Starting next week, Romana Street intersection will have a modified crossing pattern.

Construction is on schedule for incentivized completion date of May 24 for Palafox portion.
