New Warrington Road Shooting

ECSO Release: Escambia Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an afternoon shooting on New Warrington Rd. Deputies responded to a call of a shooting victim in the area of New Warrington Rd and Chiefs Way around 5:20 pm.

Upon arrival deputies learned that Willie Wilson, 34, of Pensacola, had gone to a business in the area and was confronted by the suspects. Wilson told deputies he was approached by two black males who attempted to rob him, during the robbery one of the suspects pulled a gun. During the confrontation, one of
the suspects shot Wilson in the arm. Wilson was later taken by E.M.S. to a local hospital with non-life threating injuries.

Investigators are looking for information in the shooting, to include possible suspects, described as two black males driving a dark colored 4 door sedan. If you have any information on this crime you are asked to call ECSO dispatch at 850.436.9620 or Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers at 850.433.STOP.
