The daily newspaper has received an email from Carla Lovett, Newpoint Education Partners’ vice president for curriculum and instruction. The tone is more combative than what has been sent to Pensacola Newpoint parents and faculty.
She said that Superintendent Malcolm Thomas’ recommendation to terminate charters for Pensacola Newpoint High, Newpoint Academy and Five Flags Academy was a politically driven action aimed with subversive intent to close the schools.
NEP said it will prove the school district action is politically motivated and based on minor allegations from disgruntled employees and opinions unsupported by facts.
The management company will be releasing additional documents throughout the next week to support its case.
