No criminal charges against Consolidation Commission

The State Attorney has issued a report that his office will not pursue criminal charges against the Escambia County Consolidation Study Commission. The State Attorney’s office reviewed a complaint alleging that certain members of the Commission violated Sunshine Laws by discussing commission business by email. Investigators also reviewed an allegation that two commission members, Ken Bell and Rick Harper, violated the Sunshine Law by Jan. 12 meeting with the PNJ editorial board.
