The Democrats met last weekend to chose the official delegates to the National Democratic Convention. No one from Escambia County was selected. No one.

More than twice as many people voted for Sen. Barack Obama in Escambia County than Santa Rosa and Okaloosa combine. In fact more Democrats voted in Escambia than any of the other counties in the first Congressional district, but no one was selected to an official delegate at the Crestview caucus.
Escambia: Obama 13,077, Clinton 10,011, Edwards 6,699
Santa Rosa: Clinton 3,731, Edwards 2,883, Obama 2,501
Okaloosa: Clinton 3,810, Obama 3,647, Edwards 2,384
Escambia County loses again, especially our African-American community that turned out at the polls for Obama.
