State Sen. Greg Evers (R-Baker) is not ready to make any campaign announcements.
Inweekly contacted him about rumors that he had made the decision to run for the U.S. House of Representatives.
His spokesman, Dave Murzin, said, “He is exploring the possibility of running but nothing official yet.”
FloridaPolitics.com has reported that Rep. Mike Hill announced yesterday he would run for Evers’ Senate District 1 seat. Hill, who represents southwest Escambia County, city of Pensacola, Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach, reportedly told his local Republican Executive Committee that he expects Evers to run for Congress.
Once the Florida presidential primaries are over, we will see a slew of candidates announce for various races.
