FDP Statement on Ethics Panel Report
ORLANDO – Florida Democratic Party spokesman Mark Bubriski issued the following statement on the release of a report from the ethics panel investigating the Mark Foley scandal:
“The ethics panel’s report confirms what the Democratic leadership and the American public already knew: Republicans in Congress failed to safeguard vulnerable youths for whom they were directly responsible.
“From the Foley scandal to Social Security to the health care of the men and women who have fought for the freedom we cherish, the Republican Congress’ decision to simply walk away from its job has had very real and unfortunate consequences.”
“Thankfully, today marks the end of the ‘willfully ignorant’ Republican Do-Nothing Congress that failed this country on so many levels.
