NYT: Evers’ law pandered to gun lobby


Who would have ever thought that State Sen. Greg Evers (R-Baker) would have legislation sponsored by him earn an editorial in the New York Times? Well, it did Friday, and the NYT wasn’t praising his “Gun Privacy Act”:

How low can the Florida Legislature go in pandering to the gun lobby? Citizens might have thought the answer came earlier this year when doctors were banned from inquiring about guns in the household as a factor in their patients’ welfare.
