OP Press Release, November 15, 2011 – Representatives from Occupy Pensacola will be meeting with city officials to discuss the status of Occupy Pensacola’s future at City Hall. The meeting is scheduled for 1 pm tomorrow, November 16, on the 4th floor . With the tone of the Mayor’s interview on Radio 1620 today and the “ambush†style scheduling of the meeting, it is assumed that it will be an interesting one.
The City is demanding that Occupy Pensacola file a “special events†permit to practice the 1st amendment right to free speech, to which they have continuously stated that no permit is required in their multiple letters of “no objection.” This is one of several talking points that will be brought up at the meeting.
