At 12:58 a.m. on January 1, 2012 the Pensacola Fire Department was called to a structure fire at the Community Health Care Center located at 6770 N. 9th Ave. Engine 6 arrived first at 1:02 a.m. to find fire coming from under the building and extending up the rear of the building to the attic. In all, five apparatus extinguished the fire, there were no injuries. The last time the building was occupied was at 11:00 a.m. on December 31, 2011. The State Fire Marshal along with the Pensacola Fire Marshal is conducting the investigation. Evidence has been gathered and sent to the lab for analysis.
