Okaloosa action plan finally approved

Four weeks since the Deepwater Horizon explosion, Okaloosa County officials got their local action plan approved….maybe…BP at the Joint Command Center in Mobile still has to sign off on it.

Okaloosa County had battles with DEP and the state similar to those Escambia County has had. According to the Daily News: “After holding public meetings, creating a task force, soliciting citizen input and working long days to create the action plan, county officials then had to fight the state EOC to keep the document intact.”
