The Daily News reports UWF’s Rick Harper told Okaloosa County business people Thursday at Northwest Florida State College that their county will receive a disproportionate share of $10 million set aside by the state this year to encourage economic diversification in eight Northwest Florida counties because the Okaloosa County’s Economic Development Council has pursued the funds more aggressively than similar groups in the region.
