Okaloosa TDC director hid BP expenses

For all the complaints about how the Greater Pensacola Chamber handles Escambia County TDC funds, all expenditures are heavily watched and audited. The chamber is audited and actually upfronts the money for the visitor center and convention bureau. The expenditures are checked again when the county reimburses them.

A Okaloosa County not so much, according to Ft. Walton Beach Daily News:

The latest discovery shows that the former executive director of the county’s Tourist Development Council also misled BP about how he was spending the company’s final oil spill grant of $6.5 million.
