I’ve spent some time reviewing the 2008 Escambia County Citizen Survey. The county press release touts that “85.5 percent of the residents responded with a neutral to a very satisfied rating.”
The county did improve its number of somewhat satisfied and somewhat good, but there are several areas where the county slipped when it came to being rated very good or very satisfied.

Analysis: In 2008, less than 1 out of 10 citizens is very satisfied with overall job that Escambia County government is doing. Fewer than 2007.
How would you rate Escambia County government in terms of responsiveness to complaints? Very Good – 2007 10.7%; 2008 11.4% ….Up 0.7%
Analysis: Responsive to complaints has only improved slightly. Still we’ve hovering around 1 of 10 thinking it’s very good.
How would you rate the professionalism of Escambia County Government?
Very Good – 2007 22.7%; 2008 21.2% …. Down 1.5%
