Yesterday, PNJ reporter Jamie Paige exposed Tim Eagan, a Pensacola decorative concrete worker, who created a $1 billion private development plan for the Port of Pensacola that includes a cruise ship port, $300 million convention center, parks, marina, retail and restaurant space. Paige found Eagan has a 12-page rap sheet on the Escambia Clerk of Court’s Web site. Eagan apparently had pitched his plan to the interim City Manager Al Coby.
Eagan has been Pensacola Councilman Marty Donovan’s right-hand man on the campaign trail. He has appeared at least one political forum in Donovan’s name and has been putting up campaign signs for Donovan.
