Oops, McCain campaign mgr. paid by Freddie Mac

New York Times reports McCain campaign manager Rick Davis’s firm has been paid $15,000 a month from the end of 2005 through last month by Freddie Mac. On Sunday, John McCain claimed Davis had had no involvement with Freddie Mac for the last several years.

Davis’s firm, Davis Manafort, received the payments from the company, Freddie Mac, until it was taken over by the government this month along with Fannie Mae. According to NY Times, he took a leave from Davis Manafort for the presidential campaign, but as an equity holder continues to benefit from its income.
