The major daily newspapers in Northwest Florida have articles on Randy Sansom, the older brother of State Rep. Ray Sansom, raising money for the indicted official’s legal defense. Ray Sansom has been charged with official misconduct and perjury over dealings with then Northwest Florida State College Pres. Bob Richburg and developer Jay Odom. Sansom was forced to step down as Florida House Speaker, but did not resign from the state legislature.
One of the letters was mailed to Wendy Victoria-Rudman, a reporter for the Northwest Florida Daily News in Fort Walton Beach. The Daily News is the only daily paper that has a copy of the actual letter on their website (read).
