Orlando, St. Pete and Hialeah

Council member Megan Pratt uses three cities to defend why the Pensacola City Council needs its own staff. She doesn’t compare the populations to Pensacola 53,248 – 6,656 per council member. Pratt should give the citizens all the facts, not just a partial analysis.

Hialeah population 217,417, 31,060 per council member

St. Petersburg 248,098, 31,012 per council member

Orlando 220,186, 36,698 per council member

Each council member in those cities represents nearly as many people as 4 Pensacola City districts.
