Newly-elected Public Defender James Owens had the Blanchard Judicial Center buzzing yesterday. Long-time employees were dismissed and told to pack their things and not return to work today. There is a persistent rumor that more will happen today. We hear that the locks on the PD offices have been changed and several employees will find that they have been locked out of their old offices.
