Panhandle Charitable Open gears up

The Panhandle Charitable Open (PCO) set a record last year by donating $170,000 to 21 local charities. The event was established in memory of organizer John Peacock’s son, John Ryan Peacock.

The PCO team is gearing up for its 15th golf tournament. Since 2006, PCO has contributed over $705,000 to local charities. They need sponsors, donors, and players in order to make this year the most successful yet. Please visit the website and signup soon

The tournament uses a 2-day, 2-person Best Ball format which is unique to charity tournaments. The tournament will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1. This year theyare adding a new twist. They will play at two different courses simultaneously. The John Ryan Peacock Bracket will play Friday afternoon at Marcus Pointe Golf Club and finish Saturday morning at Stonebrook Golf Club. The Ashley Lauren Offerdahl bracket will play Friday afternoon at Stonebrook Golf Club and finish Saturday morning at Marcus Pointe Golf Club.
