Parent’s worse nightmare: child sexually assaulted in school bathroom

Today, The Watson Firm announced a lawsuit against Okaloosa County School Board on behalf of their client, a seven-year- old student attending Shalimar Elementary School.

The lawsuit alleges that the School Board was negligent in supervising students in a first- grade class room. Specifically, the complaint alleges that a seven-year-old male student was the subject of sexual bullying in which he was coerced into a school restroom and forced to engage in sexual acts, with two other students, including sexual intercourse.

The incident allegedly occurred in a restroom located inside of a first-grade class room while the teacher was present inside the classroom. This incident allegedly occurred in 2016 and has been under investigation by The Okaloosa County Sheriff Department and The Florida Department of Children and Families.
