Partington Departing Clark Partington

Bruce Partington is leaving Clark Partington—the Pensacola firm his father helped found more than 50 years ago—to join New Orleans-based Jones Walker effective March 1. Read Press Release.

  • Family Legacy: The departure comes as Clark Partington marks its 50th anniversary this year. Bruce’s father, Don Partington, Bill Clark, Bob Hart and Chris Hart established the firm in 1976 and continues to bear the Partington name, a legacy that President Keith Bell emphasized in his statement announcing the move.

“We thank Bruce for his time at the firm and wish him well in his next chapter,” Bell said in the release. “The firm’s name continues to reflect the enduring legacy of one of our founding partners, Bruce’s father, whose service to the local community and dedication to the legal profession continue to inform our values and our work today.”

Bell’s statement struck a carefully diplomatic tone, focusing on continuity and the firm’s future while acknowledging Bruce Partington’s departure. The firm emphasized it “continues its work with confidence and stability, grounded in five decades of service to Northwest Florida.”

Clark Partington operates offices in Pensacola, Destin, Tallahassee, and Santa Rosa Beach. Jones Walker, where Partington is headed, is a large, business-focused law firm headquartered in New Orleans with more than 350 lawyers and offices across the Southeast, the Gulf Coast, and several major U.S. markets.
