Press release: What better way to spend an autumn morning than on a walk with a thousand other dog lovers and their furry friends?
Bring your best canine pal and join the folks at the Pensacola Humane Society on Saturday, October 29, for a 3K fun walk. People and dogs of all ages are invited to wind through the streets of downtown Pensacola to help raise funds for our shelter animals and the Barbara Grice Memorial Spay and Neuter Clinic.
Entry fees are $25 for ages 13 and over; $10 for children ages 6 – 12; and free for children 5 and under. The first 250 entrants will receive a free goody bag. The race starts and ends at Plaza de Luna. Registration will open at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. start. Water and treat stops and a variety of vendors will dot the walk route. Music and fun will be waiting at the finish line.
The inaugural event last year attracted over 500 participants and this year we anticipate 1000 walkers and their pooches.
