Pelicans on TV

Cox Sports Television (CST) and the Pensacola Pelicans have announced its three-game television schedule today. In the second year of a two-year agreement, CST will broadcast three home games for the Pelicans from Pelican Park on the University of West Florida campus.

“We were thrilled with the great response we received from airing Pelican games last year on CST”, stated CST Network head Rod Mickler, “We look forward to bringing Pelicans games to their fans again this season”.

The first game scheduled for CST coverage will be opening night on Thursday, May 10 against the Lincoln Saltdogs at 6:30pm. Pensacola ’s July 28 contest against the El Paso Diablos will continue CST’s coverage, while the final game of the schedule will be either August 24 or August 25 against the Shreveport Sports. A decision on which game of the Shreveport series will be broadcast will be made at a later date.

“The entire Pelicans organization is glad to be partnering with CST again this year to broadcast three of our home games,” said Pelicans general manager Talmadge Nunnari. “CST puts on a first-class production that gets the fans and players excited. We look forward to this year and the years to come with the possibility of more televised games at the Vince Whibbs Sr. Community Maritime Park .”
