Pen Air Federal Credit Union is pleased to present the Escambia County Education Foundation with a check worth $8,372.87.53 courtesy of the Share It® program.
“The Share-It program is a great example of Pen Air’s pledge to enhance lives in our local communities. We are proud that we can partner with our members to give back to our schools and our students,” says Casey Brueske, Community Education Development Specialist for Pen Air Federal Credit Union.
Share It® cards donate .01¢ for every signature-based debit card transaction made to the local school district of choice at no cost to you. Once enrolled, members select the school district of their choosing between Escambia County, Florida, Santa Rosa County, Florida and Baldwin County, Alabama and the program does the rest.
“The Escambia County Public Schools Foundation is grateful for the continuous support received from Pen Air Federal Credit Union,” says Jo McArthur, Executive Director for Escambia County Public Schools Foundation. As a direct support organization for Escambia County Public Schools, the foundation serves as the 501(c)(3) Foundation that raises funds to support programs that are not funded by state or federal monies. “This year’s Share It® funds will be used to secure matching state funds for our Grants for Excellence program which will award $100,000 directly back to teachers, departments, schools and district-wide for creative, targeted, and otherwise not funded projects,” says McArthur.
