Pensacola celebrates Bronze Bicycle Friendly Status

The City of Pensacola is preparing to celebrate National Bike Month this May with renewed enthusiasm after receiving the Bronze Bicycle Friendly Community designation from the League of American Bicyclists. This recognition marks a significant milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance cycling infrastructure and promote sustainable transportation options.

The prestigious designation acknowledges communities demonstrating commitment to cycling through improvements in five key areas: infrastructure, education, encouragement, enforcement, and evaluation. For Pensacola, this achievement represents significant progress in implementing the city’s Active Transportation Plan recommendations.
