Pensacola Cordova Rotary Club raises $5,000 for Charity

The Pensacola Cordova Rotary Club recently hosted its Third Annual “Pancakes with Santa” fundraiser. More than 200 people attended the event to enjoy a pancake breakfast and spend some time with Santa.  The event raised over $5,000, proceeds will be donated to Gulf Coast Kid’s House, a private, not-for-profit which provides services to victims of child abuse in Escambia County.

The motto of Rotary International is “Service Above Self” and the Pensacola Cordova Rotary Club has certainly stayed true to that motto in their efforts with the Gulf Coast Kid’s House.

The purpose of Rotary is to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.  Their main objective is service – in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
