Pensacola Five Flags Rotary Installs 2015-2016 Officers and Board of Directors

Press Release: Pensacola Five Flags Rotary Club recently held its annual Change of Command Ceremony to install its 2015-2016 officers and board of directors as well as to honor several Club members for their outstanding service to Rotary and the community.

Jeff Nall, chief community officer at University of West Florida Historic Trust, was installed as the new club president by District Governor Leon Hirsh. Nall spoke on the many opportunities Rotary offers its members to get involved on the global, district and local levels and encouraged all members to stay engaged in club community service projects including the club’s monthly “Donna Deeds,” which are done in memory of Past Club President Donna Fassett. Newly elected officers serving alongside Nall are Ron Tuttle, president-elect; Alicia Leidner, secretary; Beth Skarda, treasurer, and Bill Harrell, immediate-past president.

Joining the board of directors are D. Grayson Miller, Jon Pruitt and Davey Wilhoit. Returning to serve are directors Mark Nissely, Liz Pelt, Daniel Rentz III, Steve Spear and Cari Wilson.

Rory Cassedy and Beth Skarda were honored as new Paul Harris Fellows for their commitment and service to Rotary International, Pensacola Five Flags Rotary Club and the greater Pensacola community. Cassedy’s club involvement includes past service on the board of directors. Skarda currently serves as club treasurer.

The club also recently announced its year-end charitable donations at the close of Harrell’s presidency. Year-end contributions were presented to ARC Gateway, Manna Food Pantries, Our Lady of Angels St. Joseph Medical Center, Pensacola Little Theatre, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida, Rotary Club of Pensacola Foundation, Rotary International Foundation, Sacred Heart Foundation, University of West Florida Historic Trust, Waterfront Rescue Mission, WSRE-TV Foundation and YMCA of Northwest Florida. During Harrell’s tenure, the club also provided support to Children’s Home Society, Council on Aging of West Florida, Habitat for Humanity and Loaves and Fishes.
