The City of Pensacola announced that American Airlines will launch daily nonstop service between Pensacola International Airport (PNS) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) on April 4, 2017. Passengers will be able to begin booking flights today at aa.com.
“American Airlines is an incredible partner with Pensacola International Airport and the City of Pensacola,†said Mayor Ashton Mayor Hayward. “The DC market is an important route for our community due to our active and retired military personnel as well as our expanding role in cyber security.â€
Pensacola lost its daily direct flight to the nation’s capital, which was provided by US Airways, in 2014 when American Airlines and US Airways merged.
The American Airlines flights are scheduled to depart Pensacola daily at 11 a.m. and arrive in Washington DC at 2 p.m. EST. Passengers will enjoy a 2-class configuration aircraft with Wi-Fi.
Ronald Reagan Washington National becomes Pensacola International Airport’s twelfth destination, the fourth daily nonstop served by American Airlines. American previously offered weekend service only.

The investments and growth in downtown Pensacola as well as the expansion of Navy Federal shows that Pensacola is in a growth mode.”
