Pensacola Humane Society closed

The Pensacola Humane Society has temporarily shut its doors, according to its Facebook page.

“We apologize for any inconvenience. For resources to rehome your pet, training suggestions or local rescues/shelters to adopt from, check out the Resource tab on our website!”

The PNJ is sharing negative information about the former interim executive director that the Humane Society board circulated over the weekend – NwFL Daily News.

Another stupid PR move by the board, which has yet to grant an interview or provide documentation,

  1. Not much of a “smoking gun” as I was transparent in regards to PAWS during the interview process at PHS. The story leaves out that former ED Tracey reached out to me several times starting April ‘21 and I assisted getting their grants back in order. Also visited multiple times at her invitation, including bringing PHS former ED so they could get to know each other and on Nov 10, 2021 helped do a transfer of over 30 cats/kittens from PAWS. Also assisted in trying to get the shelter coalition back up and running with Tracey and others. PAWS today has an extraordinary board mostly of actual shelter volunteers and great leadership at the helm. What the amazing Robin Rucker has done for PAWS deserves a spotlight.
    But none of that is as convenient as trying to imply my history of standing up for the truth regardless the consequences is a negative mark on my reputation.
