Pensacola man indicted in seafood conspiracy

A federal grand jury in Mobile has returned a 28-count indictment against three people in a seafood conspiracy case. Karen Blyth of Paradise Valley, Ariz., was the co-owner and president of two companies, CSE Inc., in Phoenix and RF Inc., in Pensacola, Fla. She worked with David Phelps of Scottsdale, Ariz. and John Popa of Pensacola.

The three are accused of conspiring to falsely label, smuggle and misbrand more than 325,000 pounds of seafood in order to defraud customers and avoid paying taxes.
