UWF’s Eryka Wallace come on Pensacola Speaks yesterday to talk about UWF’s Argos Post Responsibly campaign and battling Internet trolls. She offered this tips:
PHOTOS: Don’t post photos that you wouldn’t want your parents or future employer to see.
WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE: Make sure to always proofread your posts.
BE RESPECTFUL: Refrain from posting derogatory and profane language.
#HASHTAGS: Use hashtags as an opportunity to brand yourself, your organization and/or university.
INTERNET IS ETERNAL: Once something is posted online, it remains there forever, even if you ‘delete’ it.
IS IT WORTH IT?: Don’t risk your future job or relationship for a few likes or follows.
