Pensacola Speaks: Smothered, covered and chunked edition

Today, I will have Bert Thornton, former President and COO of Waffle House one of the largest 24-hour restaurant chains in the world. He is the creator of the WH’s Bert’s Chili, of which the chain serves more than 11 million servings a year.

Bert is a Pensacola native, and we will discuss his book: “Find an Old Gorilla: Pathways Through the Jungle of Business and Life,”

In the second half hour, Council President Charles Bare will talk about the latest on the security at Pensacola City Hall, the council’s proposed budget for FY 2017, and the city’s recovery efforts from last night’s storm.

“Pensacola Speaks” airs weekdays on News Talk 1370 WCOA from 5-6 p.m.
