Pensacola surrenders

For the 57th time, Pensacola surrendered to Don Tristan Deluna. For one week, we have a strong mayor. Let’s see if we can get the main branch of the library replaced; Port of Pensacola closed;  Friday afternoon concerts on Palafox; and Bayou Texar cleaned up.

Speaking of Bayou Texar, wasn’t that the issue Marty Donovan ran on in 2000. Seven years later, we still can’t safely swim in it. In fact,  the City added a dog park on the bayou for pets to play in the water – which surely can’t help the water quality or really be good for the dog’s health.
