Pensacola Symphony Orchestra forms advisory council

The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra announces the formation of an advisory council to support and guide the organization. Established by the board of directors, this leadership group will meet quarterly to offer substantive feedback and insight about the Symphony’s programming and community engagement.

“There’s a lot of energy from the group around what we can accomplish in support of the artistic and community engagement programs of the PSO,” said Chair John O’Connor. “We were formed to provide additional perspective on issues facing the orchestra in the coming years, and I can’t think of a better collection of people to help guide the future of the organization.”

The Advisory Council will further the Symphony’s efforts to provide meaningful connections with music within our community. Represented among its membership are valued stakeholders who include patrons, donors, former Guild members and former members and officers of the board of directors, among others. Many members have decades of experience with the organization.

Advisory Council members include:

· Officers – John O’Connor, chair; Jonathan Thompson, vice chair.

· Members at Large – Lucy Belk, William Belk, Terry Bryan, Sonya Davis, Megan Flake, Betsy Greer, Maryette Huntinghouse, Janet Kahn, Suzanne Kahn, Patsy Langhorne, Ann Litvak, Carol Malt, Don Mason, Mary Mason, George Milner, Jill Nelson, Jim Potter, Nell Potter, Donna Quinn, Pat Quinn, Suzanne Riley, Kathy Summerlin, Bradley Vinson and Joe Vinson.
