The media and residents of Perdido are invited to join We Are Perdido on Monday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. for the first neighborhood meeting about the possibility of incorporating as a town. The meeting will take place at Liberty Church, 2221 S. Blue Angel Parkway in Pensacola.
To learn more and hear from the special guest, Lynn Tipton, from the Florida League of Cities. You can submit questions ahead of the event when you RSVP online at weareperdido.org/rsvp by Jan. 22. The RSVP will also help us know how many guests to plan for and ensure we have enough printed materials for everyone.
“We welcome all questions in person and online and look forward to learning with you,” said Event Organizer Steven Brendtro. “A big part of our journey together as a community is asking intelligent questions and learning from our shared experiences.”
We Are Perdido is a Florida nonprofit exploring the option of municipal incorporation. The mission of We Are Perdido is to provide education and educational resources to the Perdido community with regard to the process of municipal incorporation. We found citizens within the greater mainland, from Innerarity across Gulf Beach Highway to NAS Pensacola, all the way to neighborhoods along Lillian Highway, proudly call Perdido their home, and are concerned about protecting our area’s unique charm. Mainland residents, partnering with Perdido Key residents, can make this a reality. Because in the end, together, We Are Perdido. www.WeArePerdido.org
