According to an Inweekly/Political Matrix poll of 420 likely republican district 4 Escambia County voters, ECUA board member Dales Perkins holds a strong lead to keep his seat with 41.2 percent of the vote. Former Pensacola City Council President Charles Bare has narrowed the gap to single digits since June 26 but still trails with 32.6 percent of the vote. Over 26 percent are still uncertain for whom they will vote in the Aug. 28 primary.

METHODOLOGY:
The persons sampled were likely voters of District 4 Republican primaries in Escambia County. They were called using an Interactive Voice Response system and were called during the hours of 2PM to 8PM July 26-28. The phone numbers called were provided by Escambia Supervisor of Elections Office. The Margin of Error for this study is +/- 4.5 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.
