Pine Forest sophomore shot and killed

Last night, Pine Forest High School sophomore was shot and killed in the Bellview area. This is the fifth student shot and second killed since the beginning of the school year.

Here is the ECSO report on the incident:

Sheriff’s Investigator’s arrested a man today for the early morning homicide of a 16 year old male. Investigator’s charged Michael Palmer Davis, 25, with Second Degree Murder for shooting and killing Alonzo Dewayne Knight, of Pensacola. Deputies responded to the 7100 block of Princess Ln. just after 2:00 A.M. for a shooting victim. Upon arrival, Knight was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Investigator’s developed two persons of interest in the case. The two persons of interest, Gregory George Snow and Jeremy Michael Nelson, were located by investigators and lead investigators to Davis who was subsequently charged with the homicide. Investigators say that Snow and Nelson have not been charged in this case. Davis is being held in the Escambia County Jail under no bond.
