Pinellas County Administrator resigns

Pinellas County Administrator Steve Spratt tendered his resignation last week, effective Sept. 30, after six years of service.

In a statement presented to his Board of County Commissioners, Spratt cited a desire to avoid a public reprimand of his actions in the land deal involving Property Appraiser Jim Smith. He agreed to take corrective action deemed necessary and any other transition work before leaving.

Hmmmmm…county administrator. six years in service. problem with land deal. But he resigns effective at the end of month and doesn’t ask for a huge settlement
