The daily newspaper takes on Sam Hall for leaving a council meeting early to avoid a vote and possibly lying about a trip to Atlanta. The event happened on Dec. 11. The editorial is published on Dec. 20.
Were there so many other opinions that needed to be published first? Was this such a complicated issue that it took days to work how an editorial that basically calls Hall a chicken?
The City and the daily newspaper readers have already moved on to other issues by now.
BTW: Am I the only one who thinks Pate’s behavior is a little weird? Most agreed that a politician’s family is off-limits and his home is private. Sending a “good looking woman” to Hall’s door and then jumping out from behind a tree to yell at him is strange. And this is the family the Port considers its business partner for at least another 14 years.
